Cleaning Questions

Is green cleaning more expensive and less effective?

No on both accounts, our products are carefully selected, safe, effective and are Independently third party certified to meet or exceed label claims. We don't charge extra to use eco-friendly cleaning in your facility. The cost of eco-friendly products has dropped significantly. Many green cleaning products are now comparable in price to their non-green counterparts. Government buildings and schools are now using or mandating that green cleaning and eco-friendly products be used in their facilities. Many cleaning businesses consider using eco-friendly products to be a premium service and charge a higher price. We feel you shouldn't have to choose.

Why isn't choosing by price always the answer?

Choosing by price may lead to frustrations and unsatisfactory results. The lowest bid may be too low to provide you with quality and consistency. Some companies that bid on price will cut the scope of work in hopes you won't notice, they will also cut the time that the cleaner gets. When this happens, nobody wins. Each bid is unique, certain things can change how you bid and bidding by the square foot is an unreliable way to bid. Bids that used the square foot method may come in lowest but if they didn't ask for a scope of work, you may be frustrated with the outcome because they most likely won't come back to you and say that they got the bid wrong. They'll be on the cleaner to not go over their time leading to things being poorly cleaned or not cleaned.

Aren't all cleaning companies the same?

No, janitorial or commercial cleaning companies can vary greatly. Some only do cleaning and outsource floorcare, carpet care, etc. others do everything themselves and are sometimes referred to as full service. Some other differences can include a Service Satisfaction Guarantee, regular inspections, certified cleaners, customized cleaning, vetted employees, uniforms, I.D. badges. Some companies might not provide thorough training for their cleaners and some companies may not give you dedicated cleaners.

What are certified cleaners?

Our certified cleaners go through thorough training on site, once we feel they have the training retained they then go through an independent third-party certification process given by the International Janitorial Cleaning Services Association. Certified cleaners add to customer satisfaction because of their training and knowledge they provide quality and consistency.

Aren't all background checks the same?

No, which is why you should always ask how your cleaning company conducts their background checks. For instance, if you do a national background check, only about 34% of U.S. Counties will report. Background checks vary greatly and are best left to the professionals. Simply walking into a police station to get a copy of your police report doesn't truly constitute as a background check.

Aren't all pre-employment drug screens the same?

No, again these vary greatly and are best left to the professionals, and you should definitely ask where they are conducted and what panel they conduct. There are different types of drug screens such as hair follicle, urinalysis, and oral fluid. There are pros and cons to each, urinalysis panels can be 5, 10 or 13 panel. We require a 13-panel urinalysis conducted at a medical facility.

Can I easily identify your employees?

Yes, all of our employees wear a uniform shirt as well as a company I.D. badge with our company logo, their photo, name, and position. You can feel comfortable and confident that we have taken every opportunity to thoroughly vet our employees and give you peace of mind.

Who will be my contact person?

Your contact person will always be the owners. This allows us to provide you with decisive, and responsive service. We don't use account managers, or someone in a similar role, which allows us to pass the savings on to you.

Why should I interview a cleaning company?

You should absolutely interview a cleaning company. Cleaning companies can vary significantly. Asking questions like how they bid, why they bid that way, will they provide the scope of work, who's my contact person, are they certified, are they accredited by the better business bureau, do they do inspections, how often, do they provide copies of those inspections, how do they train employees, how long do they train their employees for, what type of equipment and chemicals do they use and why, what services do they offer, do they subcontract, how do they vet employees and ask for them to go into detail,

Do you offer certified medical cleaning services?

Good question, and YES we do offer certified medical cleaning services. Our certified medical cleaning is similar or comparable to the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) certification used by many hospitals.
